Hefty™ Load-Out Spout

The Hefty Load-Out Spout is designed to gravity feed dry bulk material from storage bins, silos, conveyors, etc. into open/enclosed trucks or railroad cars. The retractable spout uses stacking inner cones to contain product flow and allows the generated dust to separate during loading. A flexible outer sleeve contains the generated dust. The spout is normally kept under a slightly negative pressure by connecting to a dust collection system to prevent dust emissions into the atmosphere. The open vehicle model uses a rubber skirt outlet and the enclosed vehicle model uses a cone outlet to prevent dust from emitting into the atmosphere at the discharge point.

The Hefty Load-Out Spout is raised and lowered by a three cable hoist system with external gear reducer and drive motor. The Load-Out Spout includes limit switches to sense and stop the motor when the spout is fully extended or retracted. An optional tilt switch could also be provided to automatically raise the spout as the material pile size increases.

The length of spout travel can be ordered for any length desired and is available with optional abrasion resistant steel inner cones and explosion proof motor and controls.
